Karen and Sig have been friends for more than 25 years and in that time have been witness to each others’ blessings. Even though they live in separate provinces and in very different settings, they are like-hearted in encouraging each others’ journey in faith.
They often describe themselves as “conspicuously blessed” and this blog is an intentional commitment to recognize and record the blessings they experience daily.

Blessings come at unexpected times and bring unexpected joy. One day I was looking out my bedroom window and the flash of orange and black caught my attention. It was a beautiful Baltimore oriole that had flown into my pink flowering crape myrtle bush. Then it took a short flight and landed on my tall spindly orange daylily, balancing itself while sipping nectar from the flower. Suddenly, another oriole flew directly on the daylily and it also precariously balanced itself while it took a sip of nectar before flying away. I stood amazed at the beauty of the moment and thanked God for the sweet, precious moment that had come to me that day.
